Welcome
We are very small, family based kennel with a limited breeding program. As a family, we are dedicated to the preservation of the health and well-being of the Spanish Water Dog, as this "rare-breed" continues to evolve in our country.
In 2006 we adopted our first Spanish Water Dog, Tucker. He quickly won my heart and became my most loyal companion. Tucker was an energetic pup who grew into a wonderful dog. He is amazingly patient and gentle with my three children. Tucker is "mi corderito"..."my little lamb".
It wasn't long before we entertained thoughts of adding another SWD to our family.
Rosa de Tejas is my sweet girl. We adopted her from Tejas Kennel in March 2009. Rosa brings us joy every day. She has a gentle heart and a keen intelligence that endears her to all that meet her. Rosa is a 35 pound dog, who can curl up on your lap like a kitten and renew your spirit with her "corazón de oro"..."heart of gold".
Our third SWD, Ariosa Francisco RRey de Bostón, joined our family in 2011. Frisco came to us from Ariosa Kennel in CT. He is truly "mi osito"..."my little bear". He is a joy to have in our family. Frisco is a happy boy who spreads cheer everywhere he goes.
Interested in a Spanish Water Dog puppy? The Spanish Water Dog is NOT the right dog for everyone. They have a strong protective instinct that can be hard to manage. Please read our page, "The Right Dog For YOU?" and visit the website of the Spanish Water Dog Club (swdclub.org) for more information. This site is an excellent resource for detailed information about the breed and how to find reputable and responsible breeders.
